But even if you aren’t a mountain biker, there are easier trails suitable for non-mountain bikers going through beautiful forests with no traffic and comfortable route. Mountain Biking Trails in Chopta

There are many routes for mountain biking in Chopta. You can choose the trail that’s serves the best to your skills and interests. All the trails are extremely beautiful passing through mesmerizing meadows and lush green forests.

Chopta to Sari Village (20 kms)

Sari Village, which serves as the base camp for Deoria Tal is located near Ukhimath. Sari Village is a beautiful village full of greenery with an equally beautiful route leading to it.

About the trail: Its 20 kms one side and completely down hill.

You can extent this bicycle trip to Ukhimath as well.

Chopta to Mandal Village (25 kms)

The scenic Mandal Village lies in the Chamoli district near Gopeshwar. It serves as the base to many treks like Rudranath trek, Kalpeshwar trek, etc. The cycling trail goes past Kanchula Korak Musk Deer Sanctuary through the dense forest and views of other side of Chopta.

About the trail: Its 25 kms one side and mostly down hill.

Chopta to Chandrapuri via Makumath (45 Kms)

Makkumath is the winter shrine of Tunganth Temple. The region is also famous for bird watching. Chandrapuri is located near Kund, is a small hamlet on the banks of Mandakini River.

You can also conclude your cycling trip at Bhiri as well (which is the state highway Rudrprayag-Kedarnath Road)

About the trail: Its around 45 kms one side and mostly down hill. Some part goes through dense forest which can give you chills, and remaining part goes though the fields, villages.

Apart from the above mentioned places, you can ride to other scenic places nearby Chopta.
