Chopta is also known as “Mini Switzerland“, and is getting popular year after year. Chopta Hill Station is located at an altitude of 2700 mts, in the Rudraprayag District of Uttarakhand State. Chopta is surrounded by dense forest, and offers majestic view of Snow Clad Himalayan Ranges and lush green meadows.

It is also the starting point of the trek to famous Tungnath Mandir (Panch Kedar Temple) and Chandrashila Summit . The Chopta region is rich in varied flora and fauna, with plenty of Rhododendron and Deodar trees all around.

Chopta (1 Night) Camping Itinerary

On This Day You will arrive in Chopta in Uttarakhand . Check in to your camps and relax . Evening snacks followed by dinner. Night stay in Camps (Dome Tents) in Chopta.

In morning enjoy early morning breakfast with tea. Get ready for trek to Tungnath and Chandrashilla with trail snacks. Trek down by lunch. Enjoy your lunch in Chopta. Departure. Tour ends.

Chopta (2 Night) Camping and Trekking Itinerary

Today you will arrive in Chopta Uttarakhand. Check in to your camps and relax . You can enjoy Lunch if you reach during lunch time. Later explore the Chopta region, enjoy tea and evening snacks followed by dinner. Night stay in Camps.

After Breakfast, we will trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila peak which is an easy trek and offers amazing views of Himalayan ranges from the top. Enjoy packed lunch during the trek or have hot lunch after reaching back to Chopta. Evening snacks followed by dinner. Night stay in Camps.

In morning enjoy your breakfast with tea and get ready for you departure from the camps to your onward destination.

Note: The above cost is per person on twin/triple sharing basis and package starts once you reach Saari Village or Chopta. Meals starts from Lunch on first day to the Breakfast of last day.

Camping in Rohini Bugyal* is subject to approval from forest department during the trek, in case we do not get the permission then we will have trek straight to Chopta or come back to Saari Village, whatever preferred by the guests.

    We’re planing to visit Chopta on 23rd Dec 2018. What’s the probability to get SNOW that time? Is there any sight-seen/ activity so we can plan to stay for 2 days?

    I am planning for a trip to Chopta in the first week of August, is it a good time for the visit. Also I would like to get a quote on the packages that you offer. We would be about 7-9 people, 7 for sure. It would be for 2 days and 1 night.

    We are set of 6-7 people who would like to visit Chopta and Tungnath. Please let us know if November 1 st week/2nd week is good time for journey. How long is the trek in Chopta and Tunganath? Is this suitable with 4 year old kid?

      Yes… November is a good time to visit Chopta and Tungnath. The weather will be clear and views will be amazing. Only the Temple of Tungnathji will be closed by that time.

      The trek is easy and suitable for kids. You can hire porters to carry kids as well.

    we need 1 night 2 days package is it possible that night we will stay at came and second day we will do tracking
    and return to our destination it is just because we are coming from our own vehicle and we want to take rest at night and start at second day , on words we will leave for kadarnath.

    I am coming from.delhi for the very first time on any trek.
    Will take bus on 10 August evening to Rishikesh and from Rishikesh will hire a bike along with my 2 friends.
    Will be reaching Chopta on Friday night approximately.
    Can we get tent on Friday night and trekking and tents on Saturday including Breakfast and dinner.
    What would be the charges of this trip.
