Uttarakhand’s revered Tungnath Temple, known as the third Kedar, has witnessed an overwhelming response from devotees this pilgrimage season. More than 47,000 pilgrims have visited the temple within just 35 days of the shrine doors opening, making it one of the most active spiritual destinations during the Char Dham Yatra.
Located amidst the scenic Himalayan landscape, Tungnath continues to attract visitors with its spiritual significance, trekking trails, and natural beauty. The growing footfall has brought fresh energy to the valley, with pilgrims and tourists contributing to increased activity across the region.
The surge in visitors has also created better livelihood opportunities for local residents, shopkeepers, guides, porters, and hospitality businesses. Traders and tourism-related workers in the area are witnessing improved earnings as the yatra season gains momentum.
