Chopta Will Be Developed as a Camping Destination

Chopta is a popular destination which is known for its scenic view, beautiful nature and trekking. Chopta is now become very famous destination for trekking. Trekking to Tungnath from Chopta take you to some beautiful routes.

Now Chopta is all set to become a camping destination in Uttarakhand. The state government of Uttarakhand will develop Chopta as a camping destination, which will generate employment for local villagers. And tourists will get better facilities for camping. New Environmental Development Committee will be formed.

On Sunday, Tourism Secretary Dilip Jalkar supervised the ongoing facilities and installation works through the Asian Development Bank in Tungnath, saying that the Devasthanam Board should play an active role in conducting the Tungnath Yatra.

He said that necessary arrangements would be made for solid waste management on the tracking route and an Environment Development Committee would also be formed, adding that Chopta would be developed as a camping destination and proposals would be taken from the District Magistrate and this time.
